Commission Info

Current status: Taking pre-con traditional commissions for pickup at FurDU 2022.

 I do not accept commissions on a first-come-first-serve basis, but rather will choose applicants I feel the most confident about based on my limitations in both skill and time. This is in no way a judgement of anyone's OCs or ideas! – just a practical consideration that I hope will enable me to return the best possible standard of work without exhausting myself or dragging out the wait times to unreasonable lengths. These choices are often a close call, so please absolutely feel free to apply more than once!

My prices are high to accomodate the time and energy required to create custom artwork for others, and taking into consideration my other professional commitments. I acknowledge that these prices are not accessible for many people and really do apologise for any disappointment caused! I will admit upfront that doing art on commission is not chief among my skills, and I sincerely appreciate everyone's patience and understanding; I will definitely do my best to give you a good product in a timely fashion.

Prices listed are in AUD. Payment is through Paypal, credit/debit card, or bank transfer (for Australian clients).

• For commission types other than icons, a discount of 20% applies on character I already know how to draw! For example if you're commissioning fanart from a fandom I'm familiar with, or an OC I've drawn multiple times before. This is applied on a case-by-case basis, but feel free to ask about it!

Content notes:

• Fanart, OCs, AU designs, etc all okay.
• Humans, anthros, ferals, etc all okay.
• I will not draw portraiture of real humans, including celebrities. Fanart of live-action properties is fine, and using actor/model faceclaims for your OCs is fine.
• At this time, I will not draw real life pets or companion animals, unless you have an illustrated reference.
• I am comfortable depicting nudity, violence, and most types of NSFW content, but explicit requests may require additional discussion and/or surcharges.
• Please note that all designs may be stylised or slightly modified to better suit my style, though I will of course strive to keep the character recognisable. In particular, ornate outfits, props, armour, and other detailed or bulky designs may be simplified, especially in traditional work.

Payment

Prices listed are in AUD. I will require payment to be made before I begin work on your commission. For pieces over $100, I will accept half-upfront and half after an approval stage. Cancellations are accepted at any time; stuff happens, just let me know! I will be able to provide either a full or partial refund depending on how much work has been completed. If I need to cancel a commission for my own reasons, I will provide a full refund.

Process

I aim to finish all commissions within 1 week, but I ask that you allow for up to 4 weeks for full turnaround. If there’s a specific deadline you need a piece by, you must tell me upfront. I may be able to accomodate rush orders, but these will have to be considered on a case-by-case basis. By default, I do not offer a preliminary sketch or any WIPs! Please let me know upfront if you require any! OCs that do not come with a clear, well-lit reference image will incur a surcharge of between $5 and $10. This includes text-only descriptions, video game screenshots, moodboards, black-and-white references, and so on. I offer one round of minor edits for free upon completion of all commissions. This can include adjusting the background colour or the character’s expression. Of course, if I missed any details in the design, I will fix those up as well.

Rights and permissions

I usually post finished commissions to my social media; this is done at my discretion, in my own time, and by default I will not tag your profile in the posts. If you need your work kept private, withheld until a certain date, or attributed specifically to you, please let me know upfront. You can use your art for any personal purpose, including using it as an icon/header/page deco, posting it to your social media, and printing it out for personal use/display. You may not monetise the art in any way, including selling prints or merch of it. In addition, please keep my signature intact and provide credit when posting it in public. I retain full copyright for all personal commissions. If you need to purchase copyright or licensing, prices will be higher; please contact me in that case.

Traditional commissions

You will receive a high-resolution scan of the finished piece, as well as the physical item, if desired. If commissioning a traditional piece, please bear in mind the characteristics of physical media, including areas of imperfection and a lack of exact colour accuracy.

Shipping cost for hard copy: $5 within Australia, $10 worldwide. Shipped flat (unless a tube is specifically requested) with tracking number.
(If you elect not to receive the hard copy, a 10% discount will apply as I will be able to use the reverse side of the paper for other pieces, saving on material cost.)

Disclaimer: these pieces are created with professional-grade materials for longevity, but will be vulnerable to water damage due to the nature of the medium. Additionally, while I endeavour to use only colours with excellent lightfastness for my commissions based on personal and independent permanence tests, it's always recommended to keep traditional pieces away from bright, direct sunlight where possible to avoid fading, which can occur if inks/paints are exposed to strong UV light for timespans in excess of a year or two.

Mini portrait - $60
A simple, polaroid-style headshot painted in watercolour on a 10cm square of cotton paper.
* This commission type is not eligible for discounts!

BW inks - $80
Waist-up/half-body crop. Painted on A5 sheet of hot press (smooth) watercolour paper with black carbon ink. Spot colours/embellishments are added with coloured pencil and metallic ink at my discretion, although requests will be taken into account!

Painted half-body - $120
Painted on A5 sheet of cotton watercolour paper with a mix of watercolour, gouache, ink, and coloured pencil. I will choose materials and techniques that I believe will best express the design I'm drawing, but if you have a preference, I'll do my best to honour it. Additional props and background elements will be added at my discretion, but again, any requests from the client will absolutely be taken into account.
